Scholarships at Texas A&M are a great method to help afford college and are only one of several options for funding your study. Academic achievement, financial need, and leadership, or any combination of these factors, are used to grant university scholarships.
About Scholarships at Texas A&M
Every year, all students must submit a financial aid application. The FAFSA is the first step. Though financial help deadlines differ for each institution, it is best to apply as soon as feasible.
You can apply for the FAFSA as early as October 1 for the next school year. Additional financial help will be determined by the results of the FAFSA application.
Financial help is available to 77 percent of Texas A&M University-College Station students. Federal subsidies were provided to 24% of the students.
Meanwhile, just 32% of those who applied for loans got them from the government. Many students will require extra private student loans.
With 70,418 students enrolled in the 2020-2021 academic year, Texas A&M University – College Station has the most students.

Scholarships and Financial Aid, as well as academic colleges/departments and other divisions, provide university scholarships.
1. Academic Scholarships
Scholarships & Financial Aid at Texas A&M University offers competitive four-year Academic Scholarships.
Only prospective freshmen enrolling for the fall semester are eligible for these rewards. In February of their senior year, our office will notify the chosen students of their scholarship offers.
A one-time $1000 award is included in each scholarship to be used for a Texas A&M approved education abroad trip.

Texas A&M does not stack Academic Scholarships in order to give the most scholarship options to as many students as possible.
If you qualify for over one Academic Scholarship, our office will only grant you the scholarship with the greatest financial value.

Use the Coalition Application or the ApplyTexas Application to apply. To be considered, you must complete the entrance and scholarship sections.
To be considered for freshman scholarships, students must also submit a Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR).
Application Deadline
December 1, 2022
If the deadline falls on a weekend, the application will remain open until 11:59 PM (CST) on the following Monday.
2. Academic Achievement Scholarships
Scholarships & Financial Aid at Texas A&M University awards competitive four-year Academic Scholarships.

Duration
Academic Excellence Scholarships are awarded for four years. To keep your scholarship in future years, you must complete the qualifying standards each year.

3. College and Department Scholarships
Most Texas A&M University’s colleges and departments offer scholarships to its students, including incoming freshmen, transfer, and existing students.
Academic quality, financial necessity, major choice, leadership activities, and other considerations all play a role in scholarship selection. Each college has its own application process and deadlines.
4. Corps of Cadets Scholarships
Scholarships from the Corps of Cadets range in value from $1,000 to $10,000 and are not contingent on military service.
Besides other scholarships, you may be eligible for a Corps scholarship (ROTC, University, Hometown club, etc.).
Most of these scholarships are designated for students entering the Corps as freshmen cadets and are based on both need and merit.
Texas A&M does not stack Corps of Cadet Scholarships in order to give the most opportunities to the most students.
If you are eligible for over one Corps of Cadets Award, you will only get the scholarship with the greatest financial value.
Scholarships for Texas Residents
Hundreds of students apply for Texas A&M University scholarships each year.
1. Collegiate License Plate Program
Many of these adolescents are well-educated, have strong academic records, and are involved in several schools and community organizations.
Many people work during the summer and school year. By donating scholarship support via the Collegiate License Plates Program, you can help these deserving students attend Texas A&M University.

Application Process
1. The ApplyTexas Application or the Coalition Application are used by freshmen and transfer students to apply.
2. Students who are currently enrolled can apply for a scholarship through the University Scholarship Application.
2. Highest Ranking High School Graduate Exemption
The highest-ranking graduate from a Texas high school certified by the Texas Education Agency is eligible to a tuition exemption for their first year, according to state law.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. You must be verified as the highest-ranking high school graduate.
2. Texas A&M Institution must be the first full-time college or university you attend.
3. Exemption is provided for the first two long semesters after your high school graduation.
Application Process
There is no need to fill out an application. To receive the exemption for both the fall and spring semesters, eligible students must present a copy of the official Texas Education Agency Highest Ranking High School Graduate Declaration document to Scholarships & Financial Aid at Texas A&M University before the 12th class day of the fall semester.
