The goal of art scholarships is to help students who enjoy art pay for their higher education. Art is a broad category of human activity that includes creative or imaginative talent that expresses technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas, as well as the end product.
About Art Scholarships
Art scholarships are available to talented high school and college students who meet certain criteria.
Many approved institutions and art schools provide art scholarships to students who have worked hard to develop their artistic abilities.
Some people consider unfulfilled financial needs. Others demand letters of recommendation, a GPA, test scores, and extracurricular activity.
You may be eligible if you plan to attend as a full-time student and are a US citizen or permanent resident.
You should start by looking for art scholarships at your current institution. Scholarship information may be available from your guidance counselor and art major faculty.
They may also advertise scholarships for creative art in local publications.
Some awards may require you to submit an art portfolio or samples of your work. Make sure you display a high-quality piece of artwork that shows your enthusiasm.
Art allows everyone to express their creativity, making the world a more beautiful, creative, and pleasant place.
Whether you’re an artist or simply a fan of art, you’ve probably encountered a few works of art that have had an impression on you.

1. Academy of Special Dreams College Scholarship Fund
Are you enrolled in a full-time or part-time arts program? If so, the Academy of Special Dreams College Scholarship Fund may help you pay for college.
These scholarships are available to disabled students who have proven financial need.
The College Scholarship Fund and the Working Artists Fund are both contributing to the scholarship.
The College Scholarship Fund is for regular college-aged students with disabilities who are pursuing a full-time or part-time course of study in any creative media.
The Working Artists Fund is for handicapped adult artists who are actively pursuing a profession or vocation in any creative field and who require financial help from time to time to advance their career or vocation.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Applicants with special needs who have applied to and/or been admitted to a college or university, trade school, art school, or other recognized degree-awarding institution.
2. The student must express a desire to study or major in art.
Amount: $250 to $1,000

2. Creative Arts Scholarship
We’re giving out a $2,500 scholarship to encourage students to pursue a degree in art, design, performing arts, or the creative sector.
Eligibility Requirements:
All students interested in the creative arts are welcome to apply.
Amount: $2,500
Deadline: December 31, 2022
3. Michigan Future of the Arts Scholarship
Students who are enthusiastic about art sometimes lack support from their families and friends, as well as from society at large.
When students are contemplating whether to pursue their passions or choose a more traditional professional path, knowing that someone believes in them and wants them to succeed may make all the difference.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Students from Michigan who are enthusiastic about the arts follow their dreams via education. Art Scholarships
2. This award is open to any BIPOC high school senior or college student in Michigan who is interested in art or design.
Amount: $1,000

4. WCEJ Thornton Foundation Music & Art Scholarship
Despite the contributions of artists from a variety of origins and cultures, many have historically been barred from professional chances and leadership.
The WCEJ Thornton Foundation feels it is vital to encourage these persons’ creative objectives in order to ensure a future in which the cultural community has a wider range of viewpoints.
The WCEJ Thornton Foundation Music & Art Scholarship will be provided to five students who are interested in continuing their studies in the arts in higher education, with a preference for art majors.
Eligibility Requirements:
It encouraged students in high school and college programs who are interested in furthering their studies in the arts.
Amount: $5,000

5. Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship
Are you an Asian or Pacific Islander high school senior or college student studying (or planning to pursue) a degree in the visual and performing arts, journalism, or public communication?
If that’s the case, the Against the Grain Artistic Scholarship might be a fantastic fit for you.
Every year, a $1,000 grant is given to a candidate who has a strong creative portfolio and a thoughtful essay about their work.
The fellowship is provided by Against the Grain Productions, an organization committed to encouraging Asian American leadership, togetherness, and talent.
Eligibility Requirements:
Asian American college students pursuing a major in the performing, visual arts, journalism and/or mass communications.
Amount: $1,000
Deadline: May 31, 2022
6. Innovation in Education Scholarship
At LA Tutors 123, we think a brilliant, well-rounded student is made up of more than simply their academics.
Each of you is creative in your own way: some of your blog, some curate documentary photography on Instagram, and yet others come up with inventive solutions to issues in their professional and personal life.
Each of us breathes creativity, yet we can become so preoccupied with grades that we forget that imagination is our natural problem solution.
We at LA Tutors are enthusiastic about inspiring students’ creative brilliance, and we’d like to recognize those exceptional students who have made a positive influence on the lives of others through inventive or technological means.
We’ve developed a scholarship program for students who match specific criteria. Art scholarships
Eligibility Requirements:
1. You must be a current high school or college/university student.
2. A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is required (or the equivalent).
3. You must be the United States or Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid student visa.
4. Must have created an innovative initiative that has a positive impact on others’ lives (This could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.)
Amount: $500

7. Ocean Awareness Art Contest
Do you have a passion for safeguarding the environment and/or the ocean and are between the ages of 11 and 18?
Would you like to use literature, art, or even dancing to make a statement about the effects of climate change? Perhaps you should enter the Ocean Awareness Art Contest.
The contest, which aims to inspire the next generation to get active in ocean conservation (and environmental activism), encourages contestants to create artwork that depicts an impact/aspect of the current environmental problem and its influence on the ocean.
Each year has a different subject to focus on, with climate change being the focus this year.
Eligibility Requirements:
Students between the ages of 11 and 18 who create a piece of art in a genre of their choice, such as visual art, cinema, music, poetry, writing, and interactive and multimodal.
Amount: $1,500
Deadline: June 13, 2022
8. The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award
The Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award is a $10,000 one-time, non-renewable, need-based grant awarded in connection with complete participation in From the Top’s Learning and Media Lab Fellowship.
From the Top selects roughly 20 pre-collegiate artists between the ages of 8 and 18 to win the Award each year.
The award is granted to deserving pre-collegiate musicians in need of financial assistance to help defray the sometimes unreasonably high costs of learning classical music at a high level. Art Scholarships

2. Applicants must be talented musicians with a desire to participate in our Learning and Media Lab Fellowship.
3. Unmet financial need
4. Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to learning and creativity, inside and outside of the classroom.
Amount: $10,000

9. Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest
We’re awarding $20,000 in cash scholarships to high school seniors who create the greatest prom dress with Duck Brand Duct Tape.
What’s new this year? We want to make sure that everyone, regardless of their prom plans, has time to take part and win. Art Scholarships
So, you don’t have to wear your one-of-a-kind masterpiece to prom anymore; all you have to do is be enrolled in high school or a home school association (at the high-school level) during the 2021-2022 academic year.
Eligibility Requirements:
High school students who create prom outfits with duck tape.
Amount: $500 to $10,000

10. Future Designer Scholarship
Our aim at CardsDirect is to capture a moment that is meaningful to our consumers and offer it to them through greeting cards.
We’d want your help to create our next best-selling Christmas card, and we’re happy to provide a scholarship.
Our Future Designer Tuition winner will get a $2,000 scholarship to a secondary school of their choice. Art scholarships
