The University of Manchester is now accepting applications from suitably qualified students for its Global Futures Scholarships. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students.
About Global Futures Scholarship
The University of Manchester is proud to offer awards totalling £300,000 to international students, commencing their studies in September 2026.
The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and master’s students.
Master’s Awards
They are offering 30 merit-based master’s scholarships of £10,000 to international students domiciled in the following countries in Africa: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Please note the application form will only be made available to students who have applied and received an offer for a full-time master’s starting in 2026.
Undergraduate Awards
They are offering ten merit-based undergraduate scholarships of £5,000 to international students domiciled in the following countries in Africa: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Students must be taking one of the following qualifications: A-level, IB, South African Matric, ZIMSEC A-Levels, Tanzanian ACSE.

1. 30 awards of £10,000 will be awarded based on academic excellence and the quality of your responses in the online application form.
2. Scholarships will be awarded in the form of an appropriate discount against published tuition fees.

Requirements of Scholarship
1. Applicants for the African awards must have accepted a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time program at Manchester and must submit an online scholarship application form by 19 June 2026. The application form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders.
2. Applicants will be considered for the award based on academic merit and the quality of their scholarship application.
3. Applicants must be self-funded (i.e. not sponsored).
4. Applicants for MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine and Dentistry degrees are not eligible for the award.
