One Acre Fund Nigeria – Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 per cent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions:

1.) Manager / Chief of Staff, Office of the CFO

Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & related fields (CPA, ACCA, Economics, Business Management, CFA, etc)
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, business management or an advisory role
  • A sound understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax Compliance and other essential Finance responsibilities
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic projects
  • Project management and reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental coordination and communication
  • Familiarity with data analysis
  • Experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Strong people management skills and demonstrated ability to hire, develop and retain top talent
  • Excellent written and spoken English

2.) Nigeria Business Operations Lead / Manager

Location: Niger

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
  • 4+ Years of work experience in a busy or successful entrepreneurial experience, e.g. starting a field program in a developing country, leading a big conference, or a startup.
  • At least 2 years of people and project management experience focused on strategy. Someone able to fully own projects and really guide projects forward independently.
  • Experience working in an environment where frequent inter-departmental communication is required.
  • Ability to understand complex concepts quickly and learn fast!
  • Logical thinker and comfortable with analysis. We are looking for someone who can use quantitative analysis to create insights and inform recommendations.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required) and experience using an ERP.
  • English is required, and proficiency in any additional regional languages from Nigeria.

4.) Nigeria Government Relations and Partnership Lead

Location: Niger

Qualifications
For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Strong educational background – a Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s added advantage. Degrees in Public Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, Law, International Development, or Business
  • 4+ years of experience working with governments on behalf of organisations or policy projects, with experience managing people.
  • Experience in analysing policies, legislation, and regulatory frameworks to produce meaningful, relevant briefing materials for senior management.
  • Advocacy, communication and negotiation skills: We are looking for someone who can access important partners and foster collaboration among different partners to pursue our mission
  • Experience managing a multi-year public or private partnership from ideation to implementation.
  • Strong collaborator and project manager with demonstrated experience providing structured support across different departments
  • A record of success working with multiple external partners to achieve positive change in the agriculture and development sectors in Africa. Partners include government institutions, research institutes or other government agencies focused on agriculture and development in Africa.
