Sibanye Stillwater will expect the following responsibilities from the employees:
- Constant monitoring of Sibanye IT Infrastructure (Networks, servers and desktops)
- To provide technical support, answering support queries either onsite, remotely or via phone or email
- To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to IT Policies and Procedures
- On-time replacement / repair of hardware, operating system and related software to ensure production continuity
- Proactive approach to IT network infrastructure housekeeping with regards to cabling, safety and power connections
- Efficient first and second line IT Service support in line with the centrally defined SLA
- A relevant initial analysis / diagnosis of requests to ensure timeous and effective support
- User requests are resolved through the application of the required level of technical knowledge and expertise
- Installation, set-up and configuration of new desktops in line with required standards.
- Effective prioritisation of time in responding to service requests
- Installation and Support of Network & Local Printers
- Auditing of computer equipment, tagine new equipment to monitoring assets
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Sibanye Stillwater Job as Support Engineer ICT, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be graduates
- Applicants must have National senior certificate or Grade 12 or National senior certificate for Adults (NQF 4)
- Have A+ Certification: Comp TIA A+ -Essentials, Comp TIA A+-Practical Applications
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a related role
- Function according to the ITIL framework
- Have Relevant 1st and 2nd line / Helpdesk support experience
- Be able to Lift and Carry IT equipment
- Have a valid SA driver’s license with own transport
- Have good knowledge of IT infrastructure, server, PC, laptop and printer hardware
- A very good understanding of Microsoft server and desktop operating systems and specifically Microsoft Active Directory
- Have an understanding of LAN/WAN networks
- Have Through knowledge of all products used by Business Units and supported by IT
- Have the ability to effectively communicate with broad base of end users
- Be energetic, committed approach to helping users
- Have pride in taking ownership of area of responsibility
- Have Appropriate time management
- Have good problem solving skills
- Be a good team player
- Be willing to work shifts when or if required
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
- Applicants with N+ Certification and MCSE have higher advantage
